In June of 2022, my dad, brother, and I set off from Yosemite Valley floor looking to summit half dome.
We chose to do it in two days to make sure we avoided the crowds on the cables. This meant bringing 20-30lbs of extra equipment like tents, food, and of course my camera gear. We also had to do the second half of the hike in the dark.
But it was worth it. We had the dome to ourselves.
Below are the photos I took on that trip. If I could do it again, I'd bring a LOT less gear. But in the end, it was a wonderful experience of lifelong memories.

p.s. Coming down was harder than going up. My knees hated the weight I brought.
